The food plantation sub-sector is the main focus in the agriculture sector in order to achieve the agenda of improving Malaysia’s food security and generating higher income for agriculture frontliners.

The focus includes, among others, the strengthening of food supply chain, enhancing the support and delivery services, improving technological knowledge and skills, as well as encouraging further adherence to good agricultural standards and practices.

Collaborate with the Government in looking for new market access and at the same time, encourage investment towards developing the economy in agriculture.

Lead modernization in the agricultural food sub-sector by leveraging on Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).

Increase productivity, generate higher income and attract the younger generation of agropreneurs who can increase the value-added contribution of agriculture to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Promote the paradigm shift in agriculture that can no longer be perceived as a 3D industry (dirty, dangerous, difficult), and the involvement of the younger generation is key in progressing toward IR4.0 and modernizing the agricultural sector in Malaysia through the use of the latest technology and techniques.
